Extreme weather warning

Extreme weather conditions are expected from this afternoon and continuing until the weekend, the Weather Service announced today.

According to Meteorologist Panayiotis Michael, Cyprus is being affected by the same weather system causing storms in southern Greece.

Michael said that torrential rain was expected, accompanied by strong winds. He also did not rule out the possibility of hail storms.

With conditions expected to worsen tomorrow, Friday, Michael said that the weather should improve by the weekend.
