Storms with a possibility of hail are forecast for Thursday, Friday and Saturday with temperatures well below normal for this time of the year, according to the met office.

On Thursday afternoon, as well as Friday and Saturday afternoon, local showers are predicted with a possibility of storm and hail, especially inland and over the mountains.

“Temperatures inland are usually around 32C,” the met office announced, “this Friday they will be 25 and Saturday may be even lower. In the coastal areas, we are talking about 26 to 28, so that is closer to normal.”

On Sunday, temperatures are forecast to rise and there is a chance of some isolated showers but only in the mountains, while on Monday they will approach the 32C, more normal for the end of May.
