Cold weather to continue through the weekend

Cold weather is expected to continue across Cyprus over the weekend, the meteorological service reported.

Today the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with a chance of scattered showers in the western and northern regions. Temperatures are expected to be 11 degrees C inland, 13 degrees C on the coast, and two degrees C in the mountains.

In the evening the isolated thunderstorms are expected, while the temperature is set to fall to five degrees inland, nine degrees on the coast, and negative two degrees in the mountains.

Snow is also expected to fall in the mountains and areas close to the mountains.

On Sunday, the weather is expected to remain the same, with snow set to fall in the mountains, and scattered showers.

Temperatures are expected to remain the same, the meteorological service reported.

On Monday and Tuesday the weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with a chance of light rain.

Snow and sleet are expected to fall in the mountains.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly, the meteorological service said.
