Temperatures throughout Cyprus will begin to climb gradually as of Friday, effectively ending the freezing cold that has gripped the island of late.
According to the Meteorological Services’ official forecast for Wednesday, inland temperatures are expected to reach a high of 11°C, rising to 13°C on the coasts and 1°C in the Troodos mountains where frost is also forecast.
Night time temperatures are forecast to drop to 2°C inland, around 5°C on the coasts and -4°C in the mountains. Frost has also been forecast for mountain and hilly areas.
Isolated showers, mainly in the west of Cyprus, and snow or sleet in the mountains have been forecast for Thursday.
