Rain and a significant drop in temperatures lie ahead for the rest of the week the met service said on Monday.
On Tuesday night and early Wednesday rain is expect to fall in the mountains areas, but on Thursday and Friday rain is expected to fall all over the island, the met office said. It did not rule out storms.
The temperature on Tuesday is expected to be around 30 degrees Celsius in the mainland, 26C in the coastal areas and 21C in the mountains.
As of Wednesday though, a gradual drop in temperatures is expected by around 5 degrees the met office said. In the mountain areas temperatures are expected to plummet by around 10 degrees.
